Nimba Mining Company Reaches Historic Milestone with Arrival of Its First Bauxite Train at the Port of Kamsar

Kamsar, December 13, 2025 – NIMBA MINING COMPANY S.A. (NMC) reached a major milestone in its development this Saturday with the arrival of its very first bauxite train at the Kamsar mineral port. This ceremony marks the effective start of the company's railway transportation and bauxite export activities, just 100 days after its creation.

This symbolic event marks the full commissioning of NIMBA MINING COMPANY's logistics chain, now operational from mining extraction through to maritime loading, demonstrating the rapid and controlled execution capabilities of an ambitious Guinean company.

Remarkable Performance in 100 Days

In just three months, NIMBA MINING COMPANY has achieved significant results:

• 600,000 tonnes of bauxite loaded
• 3 vessels loaded, with a fourth currently being loaded
• 460 employment contracts signed, contributing to local employment
• Zero accidents, in strict compliance with health and safety standards

“This train represents much more than a means of transportation. It symbolizes progress, technical mastery and confidence in our collective ability to accelerate the industrial development of the entire region. Today marks a major turning point for our company: for the first time, our logistics chain is operating from end to end, from extraction through to maritime loading,” said Mr. Sékouba Doumbouya, Director of Railway and Port Operations at NMC.

This achievement is the result of the commitment and professionalism of the teams at the mine, railway and port, as well as the maintenance, safety, industrial security, environmental, engineering and support departments. It also benefited from the continued support of the Guinean authorities and technical partners.

For his part, Mr. Patrice L’Huillier, Managing Director of NIMBA MINING COMPANY S.A., highlighted the symbolic significance of this date, which coincides with the company's first 100 days of existence:

“One hundred days of NIMBA MINING COMPANY S.A., one hundred days of success. We have resumed bauxite loading, successfully restarted operations and recorded zero accidents, while strictly complying with health and safety standards. These results demonstrate that a 100% Guinean mining company can rapidly achieve the highest operational standards.”

He also stated that the effective restart of the mine is now imminent, opening a new phase of growth for the company and for the national mining sector.
