About Nimba Mining Company
Nimba Mining Company is a national mining company, wholly owned by the Republic of Guinea. One year after the presidential decree of August 4, 2025, which established the company, NMC operates the Tinguilinta mine, manages the railway corridor to Kamsar and exports its bauxite to international markets.
NMC is the first Guinean mining company to operate a complete value chain, from extraction to export.
Within twelve months, the company brought the port, railway and mine back into operation, resumed exports and surpassed the milestone of five million tonnes of bauxite extracted. This restart ranks among the fastest observed in the mining industry for an operation of this scale.
On August 3, 2026, NMC signed its mining agreement with the Guinean State. It establishes the legal, fiscal, environmental and social framework for its activities on the Tinguilinta concession, in the Boké prefecture, and permanently anchors the company within the Mining Code of the Republic of Guinea.
This first year confirms a clear choice: national operational control, through the development of internal capabilities and the gradual rebalancing of reliance on subcontracting.

Our Vision
Building a strong mining industry for a strong Guinea.
Guinea is the world's leading exporter of bauxite. The sector accounts for nearly 15 percent of gross domestic product and is the central engine of the country's tax base.
The challenge is no longer simply to produce more. It is to retain an increasing share of the value created in Guinea.
That is the purpose of Nimba Mining Company: to demonstrate that a Guinean public company can operate a complete mining value chain to international standards, and then drive the local transformation of the resource.
With GNF 1.7 trillion in direct annual expenditure in the country, NMC measures this ambition by the value it retains within Guinea, not solely by the volumes it exports.
This ambition is aligned with the national strategy supported by the authorities and with the framework of the Simandou 2040 programme.
“Nimba Mining Company is firmly committed to a long-term vision. By consolidating extraction, preparing transformation projects and establishing demanding industrial governance, we are helping to strengthen the role of bauxite as a concrete driver of growth and economic development for Guinea.”

Our Mission
To operate an integrated mining value chain, controlled from end to end, in support of industrial sovereignty and Guinea's economic development.
Produce and Export
Operate the Tinguilinta deposit, which contains 400 million tonnes of bauxite resources, transport the ore along 86 kilometres of railway to the Port of Kamsar and load it directly onto Capesize vessels of 180,000 to 200,000 tonnes, without any cargo transfer. NMC is targeting 10 million tonnes in 2026, followed by 12 million tonnes per year from 2027.
Anchor Expertise in Guinea
Entrust operational and managerial responsibilities to trained and committed Guinean professionals, transfer know-how and give national talent greater responsibility. NMC employees are 98 percent Guinean, and the workforce will reach 450 people by the end of 2026. The majority of the company's executives and managers are under 35 years old.
Transform the Resource in Guinea
Help move Guinea's mining model beyond the export of raw materials. NMC is preparing an alumina refinery project with a capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per year and is conducting an exploration programme aimed at consolidating its resources.
Operate Responsibly
Conduct operations without compromising people's safety or the quality of operations, while integrating environmental constraints and working in partnership with neighbouring communities.

Our Values
NMC's values reflect a clear vision of the mining industry: demanding in execution and responsible in its impacts.
Health, Safety and Sustainable Development
We always put health and safety first. We care for our people, our workplace, the communities around us and our planet.
Integrity and Fairness
We act with integrity and fairness at all times, with one another and with all our stakeholders.
Accountability and Teamwork
We achieve our objectives through individual accountability and teamwork.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
We create value through innovation and continuously improve our company, our activities and ourselves.
These values are reflected in practice: no occupational accident has been recorded since the company's creation, and a commitment to compliance with international standards is demonstrated by ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001 certifications, as well as the application of ISO 19011 principles for internal audits.

Our Trajectory
The first year was about restarting operations. The years ahead are about building an integrated and diversified national mining group.
1. Scaling Up
NMC is relying on the full capacity of the Tinguilinta mine and the port facilities at Kamsar to increase production to 10 million tonnes in 2026, followed by 12 million tonnes per year from 2027. The workforce will reach 450 employees by the end of 2026, while an exploration programme aims to consolidate the resources covered by the permit and prepare for the next phases.
2. Transforming Bauxite in Guinea
NMC is preparing the construction of an alumina refinery with a capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per year. The engineering firm will be selected by the end of 2026, before feasibility studies are launched. The refinery represents a major lever for value creation, skilled employment and knowledge transfer, supporting the country's sustainable industrialisation.
3. Diversifying the Mining Portfolio
NMC is expanding its activities beyond bauxite. Its subsidiary Nimba Mining Gold and the Australian group Resolute Mining established Landaya Gold in August 2026, an equally owned joint venture based in Conakry, tasked with evaluating, exploring and developing gold-bearing areas in Guinea. Other resources are also under consideration, including base metals.
